Goodnotes mac wacom1/20/2024 Evernote and the bear one look interesting, but I paid for GN so I tried it more in depth and I'm not impressed. IDK if any of the other note apps are better or not, haven't tried them in depth. I'm looking at drawing tablets too, but this app really wasn't polished for the mac, it's really an iPad thing. There's no book, there's no mac tutorials, you can't even get answers here on Reddit very often, even for basic things like entering text. IDK about the animation/whiteboard part, haven't used it yet and there really isn't any help on the app. I take a LOT of notes, and after about 2 months, I'm back to useing the note app that comes stock with macOS because it has hyperlinks and it's easy to enter text. I get a large blue square on the screen that won't go away unless I start clicking different things.Ĭlearly the mac version is an afterthought. You can't have hyperlinks in your text, the settings section doesn't work at all, when I enter text and I'm done, I can't get it back to the regular mode. I got the mac and iPhone versions and I have to say that I'm not impressed. 4. But it hasn't been that long and if there's enough practice I think its possible to get decent looking notes. I am still trying to figure out if goodnotes will help me get better handwriting digitally. So far it's not satisfying, I think the major problem is getting a smooth stroke. I feel that note taking is easier on iPad and it's not impossible using a graphics tablet but it's hard to get the hang of it or to make it look pretty. I found one note best but one note itself had major differences in stroke when compared to using it on windows and mac. It also depends a lot upon the software you use. If you can't invest in a iPad, I think a graphics tablet would work but I think it'll require more practice to get the handwriting neat. I already have a graphics tablet, I feel like it's harder to get smooth strokes with a graphics tablet but a part of me thinks that it's just because of my handwriting. Hey! So a couple days back even I decided to switch to digital notes because I felt I just end up using too many papers. Wacom is also more for drawing and although the price seems attainable, I wouldn’t purchase again or recommend someone did. Either way, your notes are safe Digital notebooks. Existing Goodnotes users can continue to use Goodnotes 5 indefinitely or upgrade to Goodnotes 6. Replace your paper notebooks and reimagine digital note-taking with Goodnotes. I’d recommend you wait until you can get a cheaper version of the iPad or a tablet that can help transfer data better, because the Wacom is just not very compatible with a Mac IMO, you could try it, but i wouldn’t get my hopes up. Download Goodnotes 6 and enjoy it on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac OS X 12.3 or later. It was the cheapest at the time and I got bestbuy to do a price match, it also helped that I had asked for it for my birthday, so that helped with the cost. I didn’t have enough at the time to buy a cheap version of the iPad, but I saved up and eventually got myself the basic $380 something school iPad. Hi! I used a Wacom tablet on a MacBook Pro and that was the worst $89 USD I ever spent, luckily I was able to return the Wacom, I had gotten the most basic style and it could’ve also been user error, but I found it cumbersome, really confusing, and not as enjoyable as the actual iPad.
